Creative Mindset seek to create a caring, learning environment:

• Promoting positive relationships amongst all students, employees, tutors, contractors and associates;

• Providing a safe environment free from disruption, violence, bullying and any form of harassment or intimidation.
We challenge our students, employees, tutors, contractors and associates to achieve their best, in order to prepare them for success.
Our Company Expectations
We expect tutors to:
• Insist on simple routines such as punctual arrival, listening to others and so on;
• Display high expectations for student effort and behaviour;
• Have lessons with clear objectives and the work expected from students is challenging and well suited to their skills and abilities;
• Deal with emerging misbehaviour early, calmly and confidently to minimise disruption, and students understand why sanctions are being applied.
Parents Expectations
We expect parents to:
• Ensure their child attends regularly and punctually as scheduled
• Offer support in dealing with misbehaviour and preventing repetition;
• Monitor their child’s work and behaviour, passing comments to tutors;
• Reward personal achievement and good behaviour.
Student Expectations
We expect students to:
• Be Punctual
• Be Ready for sessions
• Behave Positively
• Be You’re Best
• Show Respect to Others
• Follow instructions without argument
• Active Listening
• Focus on tasks set
• Take pride in your achievements
• Use appropriate language at all times.
Bullying
Creative Mindset believe that all students are entitled to receive their education free from humiliation, intimidation, oppression and abuse.
It is the responsibility of employees, tutors, contractors and associates to ensure that this takes place.
Bullying can include:
• Verbal: name-calling, sarcasm, spreading rumours, teasing
• Emotional: being unfriendly, excluding, tormenting (e.g. hiding books, threatening gestures)
Physical: pushing, kicking, hitting, punching or any use of violence
• Racist: racial taunts, graffiti, gestures
• Sexual: unwanted physical contact or sexually abusive comments
• Homophobic: because of, or focusing on the issue of sexuality
• Cyber: all areas of internet such as email and internet chat room misuse
• Mobile: threats by text messaging
• Misuse of associated technology: camera and video facilities
Race relations & Discrimination
Creative Mindset has a duty to promote good race relations and will deal appropriately with racial incidents and record these.
While working in schools, the schools Behaviour Management Policy should be adhered to.
Should further clarification / detail be required Creative Mindset is able to do so upon request.
Psychological Contact
If a client is going through a very difficult psychotic episode or is under the influence of medication, street drugs or alcohol, this might make it difficult for our consultants to work with the child. Our consultants reserve the right to stop a consultation and take appropriate actions as deemed necessary.
